Been thinking a bit about getting started in internet marketing and I decided to write a post about the problems I had when I started and I suppose the problems that most people have.
For me I found things exciting and new and I really couldn’t wait to get stuck in, but as time went by and people tell you “you should be doing this and should be doing that” and you start to listen to them you soon get dragged off the path to success.
I think this is a major problem for most people, even the experienced marketers. So choose you path and stick to it!
The most important thing is getting your website set-up, and your autoresponder set-up. Once you have everything in place then its all about the traffic and leads. Don’t worry so much about things not being perfect as you can sort that out later. Just make sure you start driving traffic to the site. Don’t try to start ppc,article marketing, solo ads, classifieds, forums and everything else you can think of. Just start with one or two and master them. The key here is FOCUS and ACTION.
Ask yourself this question; What is it that I want?
Asking this question can completely change your direction as you will soon realise that what you are currently doing is not going to give you what you want. Focus on the important stuff that will change things, don’t get caught up with things like your website not being 100% perfect. That will drain your time and when you are just starting out you really need to be focusing on getting eye balls to view your site. and building momentum.
